DLWA performs annual routine sewer cleaning, televising, and system evaluation in the wastewater collection system and that helps eliminate clogs, grease build-up, leaks, and costly emergency pipeline cleaning. Unfortunately sewer back ups or overflows still occur from time to time, which can cause damage. The State of Michigan explicitly outlines how the Authority must deal with claims associated with its business.
